The TSA Has a Charming Instagram Account

Dogs and Weapons Help to Soften Agency's Image

U.S. Department of Homeland Security agency the TSA has dealt with a big image problem in recent years, but its presence on social media, namely, on Instagram, may help to mollify its bad rep. The TSA's Instagram account, which has been around since June, turns out to be a suprisingly charming collection of pictures of confiscated goods (mostly weapons) and the cute dogs that sniffed them out.

Together, the images help to portray both the agency's human side and sense of humor and educate on the sorts of things you should refrain from packing -- like firearms, fireworks, grenades, bombs, or anything that looks like them.

Hat tip to Gawker.
