Lowe Roche Toronto ACD Sean Ohlenkamp continues wielding his stop-motion production magic on books with this short film shot at Type Books in Toronto.
A year ago, Ohlenkamp and his wife "rearranged a bookshelf," but this time, they decided to set their sights a little higher. Ohlenkamp said he has been experimenting with stop motion quite a bit over the last few years, creating videos that look at, for example, how his computer desktop changes over the course of a year. Following the success of the bookcase video, Lowe Roche approached Type Books to become a partner on the project, hoping to highlight the good work that small, independent bookstores do by using Type as an example.
A volunteer force of 20 people spent four nights moving, shelving, animating and reshelving books. Grayson Matthews created the original score.
