To promote the New York Public Library, Miami Ad School students Keri Tan, Max Pilwat and Ferdi Rodriguez conceptualized a "virtual bookshelf" that subway passengers could access by swiping their phone against a poster. The idea is that people could scan codes using near-field communication technology, to download 10-page-long samples of new book releases or bestsellers. When they emerge above ground, they will get a reminder that they can finish reading the book by visiting the Library.
