Respond to a work email, or download the latest episode of "Game of Thrones"? That's the tricky dilemma faced by a worker when he gets a message that the latest episode is available to download, illustrating the easy accessibility of entertainment on Argentina's Cablevision Play.
As the office worker hesitates, his cubicle is blown apart and "Game of Thrones" characters (played by a Spanish-speaking cast) appear (well, five of them) and points out that "today is the battle to recover the throne." A matching force of five managers shows up and insists he reply to the email. A verbal fight breaks out: "No email is more important than a battle against dragons." "Dragons won't give you a promotion." "A promotion you've been promised for years." With cries of "Dragons!" and "Email!" the two sides rush into battle.
"Today we don't have to wait to get home to enjoy our favorite series," said Gabriel Huici, executive creative director of Don, the Buenos Aires creative shop that works for Cablevision."We take advantage of a break during the day to remain fans, get a jump on episodes, and get up to date on that season, and in that context the idea and insight was born for the campaign we had fun doing."
"Versus" is running on TV, print, radio, outdoor, online banners and social networks.
