This Autumn Ad From Waitrose Will Make You Feel Cozy All Over

First Work From Adam&Eve/DDB Highlights Blustery Weather and Seasonal Meals

In its first work from newly-appointed agency Adam&Eve/DDB, U.K. grocer Waitrose seems to be doing for autumn what Christmas ads do for Christmas -- make you feel all cozy about the season.

The spot, directed by Simon Ratigan at HLA, is chock-full of autumnal loveliness. There's farmers struggling against the blustery weather, families curling up indoors with the heat switched on, wood being chopped for the fire and of course delicious autumnal meals, such as roast meats, pumpkins and crumbles, being prepared on the stove. It's set to the soundtrack from the 1968 Disney feature, "Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day."

Richard Brim, ECD at Adam&Eve/DDB, said in a statement: ''Our first ad for Waitrose is a true celebration of autumn -- that feeling of shutting the door, turning the fire on, pouring yourself a glass of red wine and tucking into something hearty."

Adam&Eve/DDB, which also creates the ads for Waitrose's parent company John Lewis, was appointed in May after a competitive pitch, after BBH resigned the account to take on its much larger competitor, Tesco.
