A long journey.

Sometimes, the best way to raise awareness of an issue is to show you the problem -- without airbrushing, or pithy lines. CHI & Partners NY and "Every Mother Counts," a charity organization founded by Christy Turlington, does just that with "The Walk."

Using split-screen, director AG Rojas of Caviar profiles the journey of two heavily pregnant mothers -- one in a developed country with all the medical assistance that affords, the other in an unnamed, barren place. The passage of time is especially effective, as the woman on the left goes through her labor pains, arrival at the hospital, and delivery, while the one on the left continues to walk, for miles and miles.

Over Mother's Day, the charity created "No Mother's Day," a campaign that asked you to forego the gifts and cards and asked mothers to go silent, to draw attention to the women who die in childbirth every year.
