Wal-mart and Mattel are the latest brands to jump on the shoppable virtual store bandwagon, with this new holiday pop-up push. In Canada, the brands are helping parents to skip the crazy store lines and stuff stockings via shoppable walls in
Toronto's underground walkway the PATH. Passersby can scan QR codes off a pair of three-dimensional facades to buy Mattel goods from WalMart, which will ship them to shoppers' home free of charge.
The effort was created out of Brandfire
Marketing Group in conjunction with IMA Outdoor Inc.
