Triboard: Wave
Cans of "Wave" Promoted Izeber 50 Buoyancy Jacke
Editor's Pick
To promote its new Izeber 50 jacket, a padded jacket that also acts as a buoyancy jacket, French brand Tribord pranked yachters by offering them free promotional cans of an apparently brand new drink called "Wave." Only, it wasn't a real drink -- it was canned seawater.
French agency Rosapark created the "product" and then took it to Marseille to hand out to people on board yachts at a marina. Of course they spat it out (the video shows some funny reactions), but when they turned the can around they read slogan "Make this your last taste of drowning" together with a picture of the jacket. Each person who gamely tried the "drink" got a 30% discount voucher for the jacket for use in Decathlon stores.
