Willie Nelson croons over packed stadiums and great moments in sports for Ad Council vaccine PSA
More than a dozen professional leagues partnered on the campaign from Pereira O’Dell

The Ad Council continues its vaccination PSA blitz with a sports-focused spot celebrating the camaraderie and energy of rooting for a favorite team in shoulder-to-shoulder crowds and at packed stadiums. Of course, none of that is possible without being vaccinated.
Created pro bono by Pereira O’Dell, the spot includes footage of memorable moments in multiple sports, like Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff’s hug after the 2019 U.S. Open, Jordan Spieth’s no-look hole out from the bunker to win the 2017 Travelers Championship, and Finn Balor working up a WWE crowd. There are also more intimate moments of athletes interacting with fans, warm-ups and street ball.
“Sports and sports moments hold a special place in the hearts of millions of people across our country and, regardless of who you’re rooting for, we’re all looking forward to getting back to the arenas, stadiums and moments we miss,” said Lisa Sherman, president and CEO of the Ad Council, in a statement.
The spot points viewers to the Ad Council’s vaccination information portal. All this is backed by a new rendition of “I’ll Be Seeing You,” recorded by Willie Nelson for the campaign. “I’m happy to be part of this new campaign with the Ad Council, COVID Collaborative and these sports organizations to empower millions more to get the answers they need and feel confident in getting vaccinated, like I did,” he said in a statement.
More than a dozen professional sports leagues are backing the new campaign, including the American Horse Council, Athletes Unlimited, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, NASCAR, the NBA, the NFL, the NHL, the National Women's Soccer League, the PGA TOUR, the US Open, the WNBA and WWE.
