Is Stephen Colbert Enough to Sell You on Wonderful Pistachios?

Last year, it was Psy. This year, it's America's favorite talk-show host (sorry, Stewart), Stephen Colbert, who appears in two spots for Wonderful Pistachios, which is known for campaigns that tap into pop culture. In the first spot, Mr. Colbert appears with some fourth-wall breakage saying it really isn't that hard to sell Wonderful. Because you know, they're wonderful, and so is he.

But the second one is where it gets really interesting. Mr. Colbert is "told" that sales of pistachios haven't really skyrocketed in the 30 seconds since the first ad, due to "branding." So he brands the heck out of everything -- including his own head. The ads were created out of in-house agency The Fire Station and directed by MJZ's Tom Kuntz.
