Office workers go crazy for the World Cup in The Sun's madcap spot
Spot turns a newspaper office into an impromptu soccer field
Jun 21, 2018
Thank goodness England won its first World Cup game on Monday night -- or else this spot, by The Sun newspaper, might have been a bit premature.
The ad broke ahead of the match against Tunisia, and shows everyone in The Sun's suspiciously calm office suddenly overtaken by football fever. After one over-excited employee sets it off by kicking a football at a TV screen, the office turns into an impromptu soccer game, which, (as you might expect of The Sun), is full of fouls, ducking and diving, aggressive tactics and a whole lot of rowdy, madcap fun.
Directed by Andy Lambert at 76Ltd, the spot is by Pulse Creative and The&Partnership and will run across social, digital display, press, email and events for the duration of the tournament driving awareness of the Sun's World Cup Hub.
