A child brings the world together in a heartfelt Ramadan spot
Retailer Babyshop imagines a month where walls don't matter
May 15, 2018
Muslim families come together during the month of Ramadan for reflection and fasting. But for many people around the world, the traditions are hard to keep. Refugees are separated from family by distance or war. Famine and hunger mean there's no food for iftar, the evening meal that breaks the fast.
A new spot from children's retailer Babyshop imagines a world without these barriers. A child from a well-to-do family experiences the promise of Ramadan in his own home, but as he explores a world without walls, he sees the lives of displaced people, of Muslims in other parts of the globe, of the elderly in a nursing home and children in an orphanage.
The longform spot from FP7/McCann Dubai breaks today, the first day of Ramadan. It is running on YouTube and Facebook and is paired with in-store activities and social media assets.
