Fashion designer Zac Posen, in cartoon form for the first time, meets Betty Boop in a new animated short promtoing his collection inspired by the iconic character.

It has been nearly 30 years since Betty Boop has appeared in new animation, and in this one she saves Posen from some steam-cloud monsters (which appear from the subway vent) and takes him on a journey through the New York City streets, charming everyone as she goes. When Posen takes her up to his studio and starts creating new designs, the black and white cartoon suddenly transforms into color.

The animation was conceived by Frank Caruso, King Features' Vice President/Creative in collaboration with Posen, and is part of a larger Betty Boop campaign that reveals a new dress collection designed by Posen and a new MAC Cosmetics lipstick shade, both using an exclusive Pantone color, "Betty Boop Red." King Features, alongside Betty Boop owner Fleischer Studios, commissioned New York-based Nylon Studios for an original score to pair with the animated campaign.
