See the Look: Taco Bell's Updated Logo Coincides With Vegas Strip Debut
Taco Bell is ringing in the new week with a new look and a new address.
The fast-food chain is updating its logo for the first time in more than 20 years. The new look coincides with Monday's opening of its first flagship, located on the Las Vegas Strip.
The revamped look and sexy location are the latest ways Taco Bell is trying to connect with young, hip diners.
The logo builds on one that was introduced in 1995, Taco Bell said. The logo work was done with creative consultancy Lippincott and TBD, Taco Bell's internal design group.
The logo allows for more customization with color, patterns and textures, the company said. The new look will hit digital assets first, followed by restaurants and packaging over time.
"If you're going to throw a party to celebrate the growth and evolution of your brand, there's no better place to hold it than Las Vegas," Chief Marketing Officer Marisa Thalberg said in a statement. "This flagship restaurant is our ultimate expression of the Taco Bell brand and lifestyle."
The Vegas touches at the spot include serving alcoholic drinks 24 hours a day, a DJ area and a VIP lounge. Along with food and drinks, there are retail items for sale such as hats, shirts, bags and bikinis, Taco Bell said.
