Goldstone out at Hanley Wood
Washington, D.C.—Hanley Wood confirmed that Peter Goldstone, president of the construction industry media giant, is leaving the company. Goldstone was named president last year and had been with the company for a decade.
“Consistent with our business strategy of streamlining our operations into one integrated media organization, our board of directors has determined that it is appropriate to restructure our senior management team by eliminating the position of president,” CEO Frank Anton said in a statement. “As a result, Peter Goldstone is leaving the company, effective immediately. No additional senior management changes are planned at this time.”
Despite coups such as replacing McGraw-Hill Construction's Architectural Record as the official publication of the American Institute of Architects with its own Architect, Hanley Wood has been battered by the recession that is still pummeling the construction industry. Anton said last year that the company has cut its work force by 20%.
