Avocados From Mexico "Coliseum Tailgate"
After a year-long hiatus, Avocados from Mexico returned to the Super Bowl with a comedic spin on ancient Rome.
In “Coliseum Tailgate,” Roman tailgaters liven up a dull function with avocados. “Let’s kick this party up a notch,” they say before the fun begins. Andy Richter plays Roman dictator Julius Caesar, who boasts about his love for salad (and hopes that’s what he will be remembered for).
The 30-second spot, produced by GSD&M, ran in the first quarter of the game.
Incidentally, Avocados from Mexico’s Super Bowl debut in 2015 also offered a humorous take on history—about the first draft ever.
