Arnold Schwarzenegger and Salyma Hayek are a married god and goddess in BMW’s 2022 Super Bowl commercial, “Zeus and Hera.”In the 60-second first-quarter commercial, Zeus (Schwarzenegger), struggles to navigate life as a new retiree, so Hera (Hayek) decides to get him an all-electric pick-me-up, the BMW iX.

This ad marks BMW’s first Super Bowl ad since 2015. 

Goodby Silverstein & Partners—which also worked with Frito-Lay on its Super Bowl ad—produced “Zeus and Hera.” It was directed by Bryan Buckley, a two-time Oscar-nominated filmmaker who has helmed over 65 commercials for the Super Bowl since 2000.
