Bud Light’s second ad in its trio is titled “Two Medieval Barbers” and shows a rotating cast of men getting Renaissance bowl cuts while listing the ingredients of Bud Light and key competitor Coors Light.
“Did you know Coors Light is made with barley, water, hop extract and corn syrup?” the first barber says while crudely cutting a customer’s hair. “Bud Light is made with barley, rice, water, hops and no corn syrup!” a second barber explains.
While the 15-second ad seems to be all in good fun, it marked the start of a lengthy feud between the two American brewing giants; MillerCoors promptly sued Anheuser-Busch InBev after the anti-corn syrup Super Bowl ads aired, claiming they amounted to “false and misleading advertising.”
