In Bud Light’s final Super Bowl ad of the night, the brand takes one last stab at Miller Lite and the use of corn syrup in its brewing process
Set inside a Trojan Horse, this 15-second spot by Wieden & Kennedy New York follows the same basic format as its third-quarter ad “Two Medieval Barbers.”
“Miller Lite is made with barley, water, hops, hop extract and corn syrup,” one man whispers to another inside the massive wooden contraption. “Bud Light is made with barley, rice, water, hops and no corn syrup,” the second man replies a bit too loudly, because next comes a shout from outside the Trojan Horse: “Hey! Is somebody whispering beer ingredients in there?”
Bud Light was Super Bowl LIII’s most advertised brand with four different commercials (almost half of AB InBev’s nine Super Bowl ad buys) with its spots totalling two and a half minutes.
