In Devour’s first-ever Super Bowl ad, a despondent girlfriend reconciles with her boyfriend’s addiction to porn. Frozen food porn, that is.
This 30-second spot by David Miami for Kraft Heinz’s Devour is chock-full of innuendo, showing everything from the couple making “amateur” food videos in bed, to the admission that the boyfriend in the ad is a “three-minute man” (three minutes on the microwave timer, of course).
Notably, the ad’s PG-version that aired during the Super Bowl’s third quarter doesn’t include the word “porn,” though the 60-second version teased online the week before the game quite prominently does.
In the lead-up to the Big Game, Devour doubled down on the adult themes by producing a series of suggestively blurred social media videos, creating the 1-83-FOODPORN hotline for seductive descriptions of frozen meals, and even advertising on Pornhub.
