To promote Skechers line of slip-on footwear, the company once again enlisted an A-list athlete.
The 30-second ad stars Tony Romo, a retired Dallas Cowboys quarterback-turned-CBS football analyst. Romo is seen relaxing in his Skechers Slip-Ons, playing fetch with his dog using an automatic ball thrower, putting a golf ball into a giant hole and eating snacks while a robot vacuum cleans up the mess.
Previous Big Game spots from the footwear company have featured the likes of baseball great Pete Rose and former Los Angeles (now Oakland) Raiders defensive end Howie Long.
A Skechers spokeswoman said the company did not want to comment on the agency it worked with for this year’s Big Game spot. In its 2018 commercial, the brand worked with California-based creative shop Siltanen & Partners; a representative from Siltanen confirmed that the agency created Skechers’ “Easy Life” spot.
