Toyota’s “Brothers” tells the true story of Canadian brothers Brian and Robin McKeever, who became Paralympic gold medalists despite all odds. A skier since his early childhood, Brian began losing his vision at age 19; Robin competed alongside him as his sighted guide.
The 60-second ad is a continuation of Toyota’s “Start Your Impossible” series. (The brand’s year-earlier Super Bowl ad featured Siberian Paralympian Jessica Long, who was diagnosed with a congenital limb deficiency and was later adopted by an American couple.)
“Brothers” ran in the first quarter of the game and was produced by Saatchi & Saatchi—which also created Toyota’s halftime commercial—and directed by Seb Edwards.
