In one of two WeatherTech commercials, real employees of the auto accessories maker give a tour of its facilities and explain why they are proud to work at the company.
“I’ll wear my WeatherTech shirt anywhere!” one worker says. Another says, “I love that it is a team and family mentality here.”
The American company is playing on age-old themes of national pride and buying domestically.
This was WeatherTech’s eighth consecutive appearance in the Big Game. It had originally planned to air just one commercial, but upped its buy closer to air time.
In 2020, WeatherTech scrapped its "Made in America" messaging for a commercial starring Scout, CEO David MacNeil's dog who was receiving cancer treatment. The ad never plugged any of its products, but instead served as a thank you and an ask for viewers to donate to the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Veterinary Medicine, where Scout was treated.
