Later on in Super Bowl XXXIX, Bud Light and Omnicom Group's DDB would look to move audiences with the patriotic “Applause.” But they opened with rimshots like “Deserted Island,” in which Cedric the Entertainer continued his series of Super Bowl pitches for the brand by talking himself out of a fantasy. It was the final Cedric Super Bowl ad for Bud Light; his first was USA Today Ad Meter-winner "Date" in 2001.
For another take on the stranded scenario, see FedEx's classic 2003 Super Bowl spot "Desert Island."
