The first of Bud Light’s two 60-second spots in Super Bowl XLVII, which saw the San Francisco 49ers face off against the Baltimore Ravens at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, "Journey" depicts one man's journey to get some mojo courtesy of New Orleans voodoo master Stevie Wonder.
The ad, created by Translation and directed by Samuel Bayer, reflects not only the proper venue, which had been set long in advance, but the correct teams, which were established far more recently. (The Ravens won, 34 to 31.)
Bud Light, Translation and Bayer continued the motif with the third quarter's "Lucky Chair."
