Cadillac continued to claw its way back to stylishness in 2005 following its minute-long "Turbulence" in 2004 with another 60-second beauty of a Super Bowl commercial, directed by Gorgeous Enterprises' Peter Thwaites, who previously turned in some stunning car work for Nascar. Here, we see a new V-Series Caddy pull back into a tunnel as we hear the sounds of a gun being loaded, cocked and fired. As the car speeds into the open, the voiceover has just one word: "Bang!" Ad Age’s ad reviewer gave the spot, by Leo Burnett's specialist shop Chemistri, the ultimate praise: “The conversations won't happen at the water cooler. They'll happen in the showroom.”
