It might not feature a buddy's apocalyptic death due to driving the wrong brand of truck (see Chevy’s “2012” this same year), but “Green Hell” by Fallon is another unusually direct auto ad for the Super Bowl. It shows a test track where Cadillac developed its ATS: “built from the ground up, to take on the BMW 3 Series.”
Cadillac snared one of General Motors’ four Super Bowl ads in 2012, with the other three going to Chevrolet ("Stunt Anthem" with OK Go, contest winner "Happy Grad" and post-apocalyptic "2012").
