Kforce.com - Looking for a Job
January 30, 2000
Kforce.com was one of three web-based employment marketers to seek consumers during Super Bowl XXXIV, going up against Monster.com ("The Road Less Traveled") and HotJobs.com ("Negotiation"). As the least-known of the trio, Kforce made the most confrontational pitch: A dubious street peddler in a “Blade Runner”-esque dystopia offers “hot jobs, cool jobs, jobs that are actually monsters,” but sends a job hunter plunging into a desert. Monster and HotJobs would be back for the 2001 game while Kforce did not return, but unlike many of the other dot coms from 2000, all three enterprises outlasted the coming downturn.
