Just three months before MasterCard’s initial public offering in May 2006, it aired two spots via IPG's McCann Erickson in Super Bowl XL (see also "MacGyver"). This one features marathon runner Meb Keflezighi, who shows how he uses MasterCard on the go.
Despite a fairly regular presence in the Super Bowl in earlier years, the brand backed away from the big game after 2006.
