Like its Procter & Gamble sibling Febreze ("America's Halftime Break"), Mr. Clean made its Super Bowl debut in 2017.
The spot, by Leo Burnett Toronto, shows a woman turned on by a sexy animated version of Mr. Clean, who then morphs into her husband, who has been helping out with household chores. At that point she jumps on him passionately.
Mr. Clean is a much smaller TV spender than Febreze but paid for the right to be the Official Cleaner of Super Bowl LI -- a more meaningful distinction than usual as four cleaning brands piled in (see also Tide's "Bradshaw Stain" and "Restain" and Persil ProClean's "10 Dimensons").
