Wargaming brought two 15-second ads to Super Bowl LI to advertise its mobile game "World of Tanks," one of several entertainment apps facing off on Feb. 5, 2017. Its duo faced Arnold Schwarzenegger's return to hype "Mobile Strike" ("Arnold's One-Liners") and a multi-celebrity pitch for a revamped app version of the classic game Evony ("Battle for Evony").
The "World of Tanks" ads, created by Mekanism for the game's "Tanks Rule" campaign, ran back to back between the first and second quarters. Where the other games paid up for celebrities, these spots use humor, making of reality shows like Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise and HGTV's "House Hunters."
