Publicis Worldwide Names Guillaume Herbette Exec VP of Creative Shop, CEO of MSLGroup

Arthur Sadoun, CEO of Publicis Groupe's namesake creative agency Publicis Worldwide, has appointed Guillaume Herbette as CEO of PR agency network MSLGroup and exec VP of Publicis Worldwide. The appointment follows a restructure that moved MSLGroup under the purview of Mr. Sadoun, and serves as one of Mr. Sadoun's first efforts to better integrate the PR and creative agency groups. Mr. Herbette, who currently serves as global vice chairman of operations at Omnicom PR agency FleishmanHillard, will succeed MSLGroup's Olivier Fleurot as he moves into a senior VP role within Publicis Groupe. "I'm very pleased to have Guillaume on board as this will accelerate MSLGroup's growth within our Groupe through better integration with all our entities, providing them with the necessary complement of PR," said Maurice Levy, CEO of Publicis Worldwide parent company Publicis Groupe, in a statement. "This close collaboration with Publicis Worldwide will lead to the development of models that will be applied to all the Groupe's entities." MSL houses a namesake PR agency, as well as Kekst & Co., experiential agency PBJS and public-affairs shop QorvisMSL. Publicis Worldwide is one of the large creative agency networks within Publicis Groupe, along with Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett and BBH. This month, Paul Newman, North American president of MSLGroup, also stepped down following the PR network restructure. After joining FleishmanHillard in 1998, Mr. Herbette assumed global responsibilities and took on numerous roles, including chief operating officer, which included responsibilities in the U.S. and Canada, as well as vice chairman in 2010. He spent more than 10 years in the U.S., though he began his career with PwC in 1991, in the company's Paris office.
