22Squared parts ways with CEO

22Squared has cut ties with CEO Erica Hoholick, the agency confirmed. Hoholick was the first woman to lead the independent Atlanta shop in its more than 100-year history. Guided by Good Executive Chairman Richard Ward, who was CEO of 22Squared before Hoholick, will “step in” to “oversee and guide the transition,” the agency said in a statement. “Good businesses, especially in client service, constantly evolve,” Ward said in a statement. “Our mission to help brands succeed means we need to adapt and stay nimble. We have always been guided by a fierce independent spirit to deliver what our clients need now and in the future.” Hoholick, appointed CEO since February 2022, had worked at 22Squared since 2020, according to her LinkedIn profile. She originally served as chief client officer, before being promoted to president and chief operating officer in early 2021, per LinkedIn. Guided by Good, which also houses ad agency Trade School, has more than 350 employees and works with clients such as Grammarly and the Home Depot, according to its website. Last year, 22Squared named Optimist executive Toygar Bazarkaya as its chief creative officer.
