LinkedIn moves global media business to Publicis

LinkedIn has quietly consolidated the bulk of its global media business with Publicis Media, Ad Age has learned. The professional social media network recently wrapped a closed review that pitted Publicis against Dentsu, which formerly handled the U.S. and several other global markets. It wasn’t immediately clear which other media agencies were on the LinkedIn roster, or what part of the marketer’s business Publicis had before the consolidation. The agency review follows the January appointment of Jessica Jensen as LinkedIn’s chief marketing and strategy officer. Jensen formerly served as CMO of job search site Indeed. LinkedIn’s U.S. measured media spending totaled $133 million in 2024, per MediaRadar, up from $121 million in 2023. The company spent $220 million on global media in 2024, according to COMvergence. LinkedIn follows another significant win for Publicis in Coca-Cola Co., which last month shifted its North American media account from WPP to the French agency group following a closed review. Publicis Media and rival Omnicom Media Group topped global media new business wins last year, according to data from COMvergence.
