Mediahub appoints Initiative executive as new US CEO

Interpublic Group of Cos.’ Mediahub has found its new U.S. CEO. Nicole Estebanell steps into the role after serving as global chief client officer at fellow IPG Mediabrands agency Initiative for the past two years. Estebanell will oversee Mediahub’s largest region by revenue and headcount—managing roughly 500 employees and clients such as Chipotle, Netflix, the NBA and Ulta Beauty. She replaces Sean Corcoran, who in August left to join the independent agency BarkleyOKRP as its first president of media and analytics. In her prior role, Estebanell helped drive growth with clients. Mediabrands declined to comment on replacement plans. Initiative has suffered some losses in recent months, including Lego, which moved its media business to Publicis Groupe, and Amazon—though IPG did retain some business with the e-commerce giant. The agency gained some ground in Unilever’s global media review. Meanwhile, Mediahub recently notched a win with Etsy and Ōura, the company behind the Oura Ring. Before Initiative, Estebanell was chief transformation officer at WPP’s Mindshare. Earlier in her career, she held senior media roles at Digitas, Neo Media World and Ogilvy, according to Initiative.
