VML has appointed Eric Campbell as its first CEO of North America, the WPP agency’s largest region.
Campbell has spent more than 25 years at VML, holding titles including president. He will retain his current role as global chief client officer and continue reporting to Jon Cook, global CEO of VML.
The new CEO role aims to build on some recent momentum at VML North America, which now makes up more than 40% of the agency’s overall business, Campbell said. The agency has recently notched wins with Grand Marnier, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Kohl’s, Krispy Kreme, Perrigo and Pizza Hut. In a statement, VML also said its health and commerce businesses are experiencing rapid growth.
