FinTech BLK Fest, a conference focused on finance and technology, runs today through Nov. 18. Sessions will explore trending topics such as blockchain, NFTs, cryptocurrency and the metaverse. Speakers include Cuy Sheffield, VP and head of crypto at Visa and, of course, Gary Vaynerchuk.

Slack Frontiers—described as “a conference about how we work”—starts today online at 12:45 p.m. ET, kicking off a two-day event from the company that dominates office chat. Famed gymnast Simone Biles will be dropping in, as will brands like Equinox.

Nov. 17

Lowe’s reports third-quarter earnings. The home improvement chain has seen sales rise during the pandemic as customers focus on their houses and renovation projects, but supply issues and a renewed spending focus on travel could tell a different story for home-focused brands in the future.

Target reports third-quarter earnings. The retailer recently debuted a holiday ad campaign pushing the value of its products as a destination for consumers on a budget this year.

“Tiger King 2,” the sequel series to the 2020 true crime documentary series (and early-pandemic cultural phenomenon), debuts on Netflix.

Nov. 18

Petco announces third-quarter earnings. The pet product seller has been transforming itself into a health and wellness company, and recently unveiled a new store in New York for its high-end Reddy brand, findable by scented paw prints.

Nov. 19

“King Richard” hits theaters and HBO Max, starring Will Smith portraying the father of Serna and Venus Williams. The Hollywood Reporter reports Smith paid cash bonuses to co-stars—including Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton, who play Venus and Serena—to compensate for lost theater returns from the dual release.

Nov. 20-21

The 49th Annual American Music Awards telecast airs Sunday at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC; Cardi B is set to host.
