Donald Glover teams up with Adidas in follow-up to 'Feels Like Summer'

Adidas has snapped up Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino, as its latest ambassador and "brand co-creator.". The actor and singer-- much in demand after his controversial “This is America” video that aired earlier this summer – appears in an animated ad that’s essentially a follow up to his new “Feels Like Summer” video in that it picks up where the music video ends with Glover walking into his house. Once inside, he takes off his shoes, then opens an Adidas box and dons a new pair of sneakers, looking watchfully at the camera as a clock ticks. Glover himself directed the video, with animation by Ivan Dixon and Greg Sharp. It was written by Fam Rothstein. In a statement, Adidas says that Glover's collaboration with the brand will include "creative projects, footwear and apparel." Glover comments: "I believe it’s important not to feel like ideas are bound by specific guidelines and Adidas Originals has given me the opportunity to create on my own terms. I’m looking forward to seeing what that leads to.”
