The comic spots from Haymaker highlights the brand’s new Ridge Rush flavor

Better-for-you soda brand Olipop is getting the word out about its new Ridge Rush flavor, its answer to Mtn Dew. This is the brand’s first campaign focused on a single product. Olipop is pitching the drink as a healthier version of Mtn Dew, using green tea for caffeine and having only four grams of sugar.
The campaign comes from Haymaker. The ads were directed by comedic duo Zachary Johnson and Jeffrey Max, aka Fatal Farm. They will run on connected TV, digital and social media.

In one spot, a purple alien stops working on a giant machine to complain to his human colleague that he will never be able to conquer Earth. After a sip of Ridge Rush, he is reinvigorated, fixing the machine and vaporizing the human.
In another, two paleontologists struggle to piece together a skeleton. After a sip of Olipop’s Ridge Rush, they decide to “make it fit,” even though the bones clearly don’t match.
Billboards in Los Angeles and Houston will show off the flavor’s tagline, “A Can of Do.”
While the campaign is rolling out now, Olipop gave college students the chance to be the first to try the flavor by entering their information to win a free case of Ridge Rush to share with their friends.
