Soccer star Dele Alli switches sports to become a basketball player, rugby player cricketer and boxer in a new spot promoting BT Sport's live TV offerings in the U.K.
The fast-paced, fun film, which seems reminiscent of a Nike or Adidas spot, sees Dele Alli, who plays for England and for Tottenham Hotspur, join the Golden State Warriors alongside Draymond Green. He also gets tackled by England rugby player Maro Itoje, boxes with European champion Anthony Yarde, takes on female mixed martial arts star Joanna Jędrzejczyk and plays alongside Australian cricket captain Steve Smith during the Ashes. The idea is to showcase the range of live sport offered by BT.
The spot is by AMV BBDO and was directed by Pedro Martin-Calero at Colonel Blimp. Set to music track "Soy Yo" by Bomba Estero, it broke Friday night during the semi-final of the Women's Euro 2017 soccer tournament.
