Bellagios's exquisite films capture joy on the Las Vegas strip

As the famous slogan goes, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” But a trio of new ads promoting the city’s MGM and Bellagio resorts suggest that a trip to the strip is something worth shouting about.

Created out of McCann, the new ads show off the glamour, excitement and escape to be had in Sin City. The best of them are an exquisite pair of films promoting MGM's premier hotel Bellagio that feel like something out of a cinematic dream.

One is shot in black and white and set to a track that feels right out of old Hollywood. It depicts actor Jongman Kim in a poetic tango with the hotel’s dancing fountain. He sways back and forth along with their jumping streams, raising his arms like a conductor directing their performance. Previously, you might recall his performance as one of the many “Elvii” in Apple’s 2018 Facetime ad

The second Bellagio spot follows a couple, now in their golden years, waltzing through the grounds of the hotel. With each twist and turn, they become younger and younger, traveling to the early days of their romance.

Both ads were directed by brother-sister directing team The Coles, who helmed yet another spot for MGM Resorts. This one is a faster-paced, more straightforward pitch, with actor-comedian Nichole Sakura of “Superstore” and “Shameless” serving as tour guide through MGM’s Vegas properties, highlighting all that is on offer, from celebrity talents including Lady Gaga and Davd Copperfield, star chefs such as Roy Choi and more.

The campaign’s various assets are running on streaming platforms, online video, social, out of home and print.
