Peugeot Recreates the Moment Novak Djokovic Discovered Tennis
Ad Will Run During the French Open
Editor's Pick
As the French Open tennis tournament begins, Peugeot has released a cute new ad featuring Novak Djokovic which harks back to the star player's childhood and imagines how his passion for tennis got started.
In the film, by BETC Paris, a little boy is playing the violin -- very badly -- in a music group, resulting in pained expressions on the face of his teacher. Outside, some other kids are having a tennis lesson. But when a tennis ball bounces in through the window, pure instinct takes over.
It's soon revealed that the boy is a young Djokovic, who's later seen driving his Peugeot (and the Grand Slam champion is proud enough of the ad that he released it on his own Facebook page). The film was directed by Romain Levy of Standard, and will run throughout the French Open on TV in France.
