Boom Beach's Villain Has a Broadway-Style Turn in This Animated Gaming Spot
Barton F. Graf Creates a Musical Extravaganza for Supercell
Editor's Pick
Supercell's new spot for "Boom Beach" features the game's original villain, Lt. Hammerman, who leads the Blackguard Army, in an animated Broadway musical-style turn singing about how "it's lonely at the top."
The film promotes Supercell's new in-game feature that lets players design bases for Lt. Hammerman called the Blackguard Base builder. It addresses the question: Why would players want to design bases for the very army they're supposed to defeat -- and why would Lt. Hammerman invite players to help him? Agency Barton F. Graf found an answer in the life of a super villain being super lonely. The square-jawed anti-hero makes a lot of friends this way -- but will these new-found friendships survive?
Director Kirk Kelley worked on the spot, and Butter Music and Sound are responsible for the theatrical soundtrack -- which definitely has potential for a stage production.
