Women's Minds 'Are Just Being Poisoned by Feminism,' According to the Guy in This Ad
Goodby Silverstein & Partners New York Teams Up With Rock the Vote to Remind Young People What They're Up Against
Editor's Pick
In this video released today on YouTube, a man stands in the parking lot of a grocery store and confidently talks about an issue that's clearly near and dear to him: women's rights. "I love women," he says, "but they'll never be as smart as men. I know they think they want equal pay and they think they want the same rights as men, but their minds are just being poisoned by feminism. It's our responsibility to protect them from themselves. Especially when they're menstruating."
Are we being trolled? Yeah, it turns out -- to make a point. A moment later, to a screeching horror-movie-esque soundtrack, type flashes across the screen that reads "HE VOTES," followed by "DO YOU?"
The ad is from non-profit youth organization Rock the Vote, which wants to remind U.S. citizens to register to vote for the upcoming elections. Other spots in the series feature a religious fanatic who thinks it's pointless to worry about the environment (because End Times will soon be upon us) and a defense contractor who cheerfully expresses support for war-mongering candidates.
Goodby Silverstein & Partners New York teamed up with Rock the Vote to create the videos as part of what they're calling the "Care Like Crazy" campaign.
