A Life Size Stop-Motion Painting Demonstrates Benjamin Moore's Century Paint
The Martin Agency and GenPop Find an Unusual Way to Demonstrate Matte Finish
Editor's Pick
Benjamin Moore is introducing its latest new paint, Century, with an unusual campaign: a room-sized stop motion film using the actual paint.
Created by The Martin Agency with production company GenPop, the film sees a plain white room transformed thought an incredible geometric design made of stripes of deep red paint running along the walls. It's a mesmerizing way to illustrate the product, which is marketed as the "world's first Soft Touch Matte" paint brand.
To highlight its texture, the campaign also replicates Century's finish with a custom matte ink on print inserts, which will run in high-end interior design publications. Martin also designed the packaging for Century, aiming to give it a hand-crafted, authentic feel and a seal with a dab of the real paint, to reflect the fact that it's made in small batches by "master craftsmen."
