A DHL courier gets swept up in the action in a James Bond-themed spot
180 Amsterdam and Smuggler's Adam Berg worked on 'Licence to Deliver' campaign

DHL has some fun with a James Bond-themed ad in the run-up to the release of "No Time to Die."
The spot, by 180 Amsterdam, celebrates the delivery brand's role as official logistics partner to the 007 franchise. It revolves around a courier trying to get a package to Bond as he races across Shanghai in an exciting car chase. Despite numerous obstacles, including trying to figure out Bond's "updated delivery address" as he speeds across the city, the cool-headed protagonist completes his mission efficiently.
Directed by Smuggler's Adam Berg, it features the Aston Martin DB5, which was driven by Bond stunt driver, Ben Collins, working alongside the movie's assistant stunt coordinator Pete White. Cinematographer Linus Sandgren, who also worked on the movie (as well as De'Longhi's new global campaign starring Brad Pitt), was director of photography.
"The campaign is quintessentially Bond, with high energy and tongue-in-cheek humor, all while remaining firmly in the DHL world," said Monika Schaller, DHL's executive vice president of corporate communications, sustainability & brand, in a statement. "The message is that DHL is the logistics partner you can rely on even if the mission is unusual or complex."
The campaign will air internationally, on broadcast and across all digital channels, both in the form of digital banners and video as well as print ads.
"No Time to Die" will be released (finally) in the U.S. on October 8. Its opening has been delayed twice over the last 18 months due to the pandemic.
