A humorous new spot from Downy, promoting its "wrinkles send the wrong message" tagline, has playful fun with the idea of grandparents getting frisky.
In the spot, created by Procter & Gamble multi-agency shop Woven with teams from Grey New York, a teenager overhears his grandparents in a hallway closet making some very disturbing noises. What he doesn't know is that they're just tackling stuff falling off a shelf. But when they emerge, with their clothes all wrinkled, he looks on in horror. Thankfully they have some Downy on hand to remedy the situation for their next closet adventure—though we don't know if that one was as innocent as the first.
Chris Balmond at Station Film helmed ad, a follow-up to a previous spot in the campaign featuring University of Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh.
