BBDO Enlisted the 'Be Kind, Rewind' Director for Its Latest Spot

How do you make the logistics of international deliveries look magical and other-worldly? BBDO found an answer in its new spot for FedEx: enlisting the help of writer and director Michel Gondry (whose work includes "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," and "Be Kind Rewind").

The spot shows all the objects for delivery making their way through an airport and 'round the world; laptops fly like birds through departure gates, lava lamps and basketballs float through the universe like space junk, skateboards, shoes and cute toy robots queue for passport control, and are then seen parachuting down into the front porches of houses. "What we do every night is like something out of a strange dream," says the voiceover. "Except that the next morning, it all makes sense."
