Paula Scher and Pentagram steered the environmental graphic design of Achievement First Endeavor Middle School, a charter school for grades 5 through 8 based in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.

Supported by the Robin Hood Foundation, Achievement First seeks to put kids in urban areas on the path to a college education. In partnership with Rogers Marvel architects, Scher and team developed the school's environmental graphics based on the school's foundation of character building and a series of motivational slogans used by the school's teachers. The new design was budget-minded, relying on paint and color as a primary design tool.
