Evil Anna Friel wipes out reality stars in ad from ITV

Anna Friel, star of the crime drama "Marcella," carries out an evil plot against reality TV stars for U.K. broadcaster ITV.
A new ad pits Friel against reality star couple Olivia Atwood ("Love Island") and Bradley Dack, who now appear together in the new ITV series "Olivia Meets Her Match." Atwood and Dack stop in their tracks when they encounter a cute puppy wearing a collar emblazoned with "I love Olivia" as they walk on set. As she goes over to photograph the pooch, a dumpster drops out of nowhere, flattening the pair. Friel then appears clutching a walkie-talkie, going over to the dog and whispering "good boy."
The ad is the latest in ITV's "Drama vs Reality" campaign, which has used dark humor to remind viewers that the broadcaster is at the top of its game in both genres. The campaign kicked off in May with a film starring "The Crown" actor Jason Watkins malevolently trying to kill off "Love Island" star Kem Cetinay and has continued with several other pairings.
The campaign was created by Uncommon and helmed by "Les Misérables" and "Cats" director Tom Hooper, with cinematography by Barry Ackroyd. Friel commented in a statement that it was "an honor to work with one of the country's best directors," adding that she will "always support ITV for supporting 'Marcella.'"
